Gold Seal Services, a Delbert Adams Company, is seeking a Home Care Specialist. Gold Seal Services is a high-end home and property maintenance and repair business originally based in Baltimore that has expanded into the Annapolis and D.C. marketplace.

The Home Care Specialist is responsible for the development and retention of client sales as well as field operations. The Home Care Specialist oversees all field personnel, leading the team to success through excellence in the disciplines of business development, and client retention.

The Home Care Specialist is a key development position for the Company, independently managing a significant segment of the market opportunity, including Home Services, Annual Maintenance, Small Projects, and Emergency Services.

responsibilities

Business Development

The Home Care Specialist leads all business development activities for GSS and will:

  • Provide focus and strategy to the development of business opportunities for GSS within the following main categories: New business from existing clients; New GSS accounts for DACG construction clients; Clients new to both GSS and DACG; Annual Contracts
  • Provide strategy and coordination of efforts to achieve revenue growth objectives for the GSS organization within the marketplace.
  • Play a key role in the future expansion of GSS by targeting demographics in new markets that exemplify our existing client base.
  • Periodically report on business development efforts and business performance metrics.

Sales

The Home Care Specialist is the primary salesperson for the division, overseeing the complete sales cycle for GSS, and will:

  • Work directly with the Service Coordinator to:
  • Coordinate first contact with:
    • Current GSS clients with new work opportunities.
    • Annual contracts
    • New prospective GSS clients.
  • Qualify opportunities and determine a direction for each project’s sales process.
  • Make home visits to existing and new clients to assess new projects.
  • Engage GSS personnel and trade partners as needed to develop scope and pricing for each GSS project.
  • Develop complete and accurate estimates for the project scope; detailed scopes of work representing the proposed performance of each project
  • Determine the appropriate application of fixed price and T&M contract formats.
  • Set final sale prices for all GSS proposals based on target GM parameters set by the executive team.
  • Deliver proposals to clients personally or, when appropriate, direct the delivery of proposals to clients by the Services Administrator or Services Technicians.
  • Work with the Services Administrator to maintain and distribute an accurate Open Leads Report via Service Titan.
  • Develop and enhance the estimating and proposals process to improve accuracy and speed.

Team Building

The Home Care Specialist is the market leader of the GSS team and will:

  • Directly coordinate the team’s personnel for GSS, including field technicians and trade contractors used by GSS.
  • Continually assess the GSS team for capacity to deliver quality standards consistent with the company mission.
  • Prescribe training and support for team members as needed to assure the successful performance of all responsibilities to GSS customers.
  • Champion and maintain an enthusiastic, energetic, and productive atmosphere with clients and GSS employees at all times.
  • Assist in recruiting and maintaining an adequate trade contractor base in assigned markets.
  • Play a key role in the GSS short-term and long-term growth initiatives.

Risk Management

The Home Care Specialist manages corporate risk through all activities of the division and will:

  • Be the primary decision-maker for the day-to-day activities coordinating directly with the Service Manager.
  • Demonstrate expertise in defining contract scope language for all GSS work.
  • Thoroughly understand the terms and conditions of standard company contract documents.
  • Oversee GSS projects to assure proper technical performance, local state and federal code compliance, and managed parameters for warranties.

Customer Service

  • The Home Care Specialist leads the GSS division’s delivery of the highest level of customer service through all phases of the division and at each stage of the complete business cycle.

Production Management

The Home Care Specialist is responsible for the overall production performance of the operation(s) and will:

  • Visit active job sites, provide oversight of performance and quality of work, and monitor customer service.
  • Develop current systems and devise new systems to optimize production efficiency for the division.
  • Define and implement a formal emergency response program handling emergency after-hours service demands and respond to after-hours emergency calls personally as necessary.

The Home Care Specialist will oversee the Service Coordinator’s efforts to:

  • Design the rolling production schedule for the assigned service area.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for Service Technicians.
  • Coordinate work with GSS clients.
  • Schedule Service Technicians and subcontractors to execute approved GSS work.
  • Schedule annual maintenance work.
  • Coordinate site support and mobilization requirements such as dumpsters, temporary sanitary facilities, protections, etc.
  • Generate and deliver clear, accurate jobs for Service Technicians.
  • Process updated and complete, accurate jobs in Service Titan.
  • Process complete and accurate job cost information.

Administrative

Continually seek and devise opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness by:

  • The Home Care Specialist will establish a superior environment with respect to organization and task management within all phases of the division.
  • The Home Care Specialist will look for ways to grow the business by establishing a solid and reoccurring revenue model in all markets.

Personal Conduct & Development

  • Remains consistently punctual and prepared for all appointments, including but not limited to client meetings, GSS meetings, training exercises, and other appointments.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership skills and professionalism while interfacing with all team members, both within the GSS organization and within the trade contractor network.
  • Review all written communications for excellent grammar, spelling, and formatting, and shows a clear appreciation for the importance of detail and accuracy in all manners of communication.
  • Maintains a clean, well-groomed, and highly professional personal appearance and wears GSS logoed attire.
  • Successfully completes training and certification programs and demonstrates a continual interest in personal and professional growth.
  • Maintains an excellent driving record while operating company equipment and refrains from the use of hand-held phones, text messaging, and other unsafe behavior while operating a GSS vehicle or conducting GSS business.
  • Protects confidential and proprietary company information including but not limited to management systems and techniques, sales efforts and marketing strategy, and employee compensation information.

  • Experience in, or knowledge of, construction processes is a plus
